2: Is Ultimate Coating a licensed installer?

Yes. Ultimate Coatings Ltd holds the following current licences and qualifications:

  • Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP #116124. Appointed by the New Zealand Government to set standards and develop qualifications for the building and construction industry in N.Z.);

    License Class/Area of Practice: External Plastering E2;

  • Rocote-Resene Construction Systems
  • Dulux Acratex

 

3: Are the products that you install BRANZ appraised?

Yes. All the products used from Specialized, Rocote-Resene and Dulux Acratex are BRANZ appraised and are made in N.Z.

4: Will plastering make my house leak?

No. At Ultimate Coatings Ltd, all systems comply with the specifications of the chosen plastering system as well as meeting all council requirements.  Our plastering systems have all undergone comprehensive testing and been approved to meet BRANDZ requirements.

5: Can you plaster over existing brick and/or block?

Yes. The team at Ultimate Coatings Ltd delivers proven systems that can guarantee brick and block substrates to be successfully plastered over, creating lasting finish results on all exterior plastering work.  

6: Can you repair cracks in existing plaster work?

Yes. At Ultimate Coatings Ltd cracks in existing plaster work can be repaired and be restored to the desired result.  With the right testing and procedure, the team at Ultimate Coatings Ltd can inspect and assess any damage to your existing plaster work and evaluate if a moisture reading test is required for you to achieve your desired design and style.  It is important that you keep your maintenance on your home up-to-date and any damage to your existing plaster work is fixed immediately.  If there are signs of cracking or damage to your existing plaster work, the team at Ultimate Coatings Ltd can repair existing cracking or potential cracking and deliver proven durable results with a quality professional finish.  Please contact Ultimate Coatings Ltd before repairing cracks in existing plaster work becomes costly.  

7: Will you clean up after the job is done?

As responsible and professional tradesman we will always leave your premises in a clean and tidy condition. We respect your property and will always try our best to leave it in the cleanest condition possible after your plastering/painting work.

8: How often should I repaint my plaster exterior?

Typically every 5-7 years exterior plaster should be repainted.
